New online tool for flight movements and noise statistics

From 7 September 2021, EuroAirport’s noise and flight movement statistics can be viewed on a dedicated internet platform developed by the Airport for this purpose. The aim of the Airport is to provide clear and transparent information.

Basel-Mulhouse Airport has a network of 15 fixed noise measurement points as well as a mobile noise measurement station located at the Airport and in surrounding municipalities. The noise and corresponding flight movement statistics are now available online in the newly published WebReporting

Data can be called up for the last ten years and is regularly updated at the relevant reporting intervals (monthly, quarterly, annually). In addition to the above-mentioned data, WebReporting contains statistics on related subjects like for example exemptions for night flights.

WebReporting is a modern online tool that enables users to access the noise and flight movement statistics hitherto published in the Airport’s environment bulletin more quickly, more completely, and more interactively than before.

The statistics relating to energy, water, and waste are not included in the WebReporting and will continue to be published under the relevant sections on the Airport’s website.

As a result, the Airport’s environment bulletin (available in German and French) will be adapted: the format will be lighter and more reader-friendly, with editorial content and links to environment data. The bulletin will still be available in electronic form at its usual place on the website.

After TraVis, launched in October 2020 to enable users to track flight paths, call up the corresponding noise values and file complaints online, WebReporting is the second main project designed to facilitate more active communication on environmental issues. By publishing these two tools for the general public, the airport is also responding to requests from political circles and local residents’ associations.

Users can submit remarks or suggestions on WebReporting by means of the contact form on EuroAirport’s website.
