The first deputy mayor of Saint-Louis, Philippe Knibiely, has succeeded the late Jean-Marie Zoellé on the Board of Directors of EuroAirport. Following Hubert Monzat’s retirement in April 2020, Sylvain Rousselle has taken over as the new French Financial Controller of the binational public institution.

Effective from 5.00 am on 15 March 2020, EuroAirport implemented the stricter measures against the corona virus announced by the French Prime Minister on the evening of 14 March 2020. As a result, all restaurants and shops are closed. With a few exceptions, take-aways and tobacco and newspaper shops at EuroAirport have also been closed since 19 March 2020.

As a binational airport, EuroAirport is working in close cooperation with the health authorities of France (Agence régionale de santé, ARS) and of Switzerland (Federal Office of Health, Bundesamt für Gesundheit, BAG / Office federal de santé publique, OFSP). Protection of all people and personnel passing through the airport and based at the airport site is a number one priority.
