Summer vacation will soon begin in the tri-border area. For the upcoming weeks, EuroAirport is therefore expecting a sharp increase in passenger volume. An early arrival at the Airport is strongly recommended. Thanks to a good preparation, passengers can contribute to flawless check-in procedures and security checks.
For the first time, EuroAirport will feature a hotel complex located right next to the Terminal. Adjacent to the main roundabout in front of the airport building on the Swiss side, the complex will comprise a total of 140 rooms. The complex is scheduled to open at the end of 2027.

Following successful technical and safety inspections, EuroAirport will be able to reopen its main runway 15/33 earlier than originally scheduled.

Runway refurbishment has begun at EuroAirport as planned: since April, 15 2026, the main runway is undergoing major rehabilitation.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the 21st EuroAirport Aviation Collectors’ Fair will take place on Level 5 in Hall 4 of the Passenger Terminal. The collectors’ tables will be organised around the “Luminator”, Jean Tinguely’s last work of art.
As of today, a banner visible from afar adorns EuroAirport’s control tower. It displays the artwork Vega Pâl created by artist Victor Vasarely, thereby bringing the substantial collection of the Musée Unterlinden in Colmar to the attention of an international audience. The colourful motif with its optical effects is a striking example of Op Art and catches the eye even from a distance.
