EuroAirport: New Head of Communications & Public Affairs
From September 9, 2024, Manuela Witzig, former Head of German Corporate Communications, will take over as Head of Communications and Public Affairs. She will take over this role from Managing Director Matthias Suhr, who has held the position on an interim basis since September 2020.
EuroAirport modernises check-in process by means of Self Bag Drop devices
EuroAirport is taking another important step toward modern and efficient passenger handling: starting this week, check-in for selected airlines will be handled via self-service devices (Self Bag Drop devices, SBD). The relevant check-in area is temporarily located in Hall 2 and, as of May, will be operational in modernised Hall 3. Further airlines are expected to follow suit as soon as possible. The goal of this change is to make the check-in process more efficient and independent for passengers.
Victor Vasarely at EuroAirport: Tower banner puts the Musée Unterlinden in the spotlight
As of today, a banner visible from afar adorns EuroAirport’s control tower. It displays the artwork Vega Pâl created by artist Victor Vasarely, thereby bringing the substantial collection of the Musée Unterlinden in Colmar to the attention of an international audience. The colourful motif with its optical effects is a striking example of Op Art and catches the eye even from a distance.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the 21st EuroAirport Aviation Collectors’ Fair will take place on Level 5 in Hall 4 of the Passenger Terminal. The collectors’ tables will be organised around the “Luminator”, Jean Tinguely’s last work of art.
Summer flight schedule 2026: eight new destinations available out of EuroAirport
Flights to over 100 destinations with more than 30 airlines as well as numerous flight connections to international hubs: the summer flight schedule will take effect on March 29, 2026.
