New tower banner at EuroAirport: 75 years of the Franco-Swiss Treaty
With a new, giant banner on display at the Airport’s control tower, EuroAirport is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Franco-Swiss Treaty. On July 4, 1949, the two neighbouring countries agreed the binational regulation on the construction and operation of Basel-Mulhouse Airport, which is still in force today.

Effective immediately: new flight connection to Dubai with flydubai
Starting August 2, 2024, the airline flydubai has been offering scheduled flights between Basel-Mulhouse Airport and its hub located in Dubai. The Arabian airline and EuroAirport officially inaugurated the new route on Wednesday, August 7.

Last weekend, summer vacations came to an end in the last regions around EuroAirport. Due to EuroAirport’s trinational catchment area, the Airport’s summer vacation period is prolonged for several weeks each year.
Winter flight schedule 2024/2025: an attractive range of destinations
At EuroAirport, the new 2024/2025 winter flight schedule will come into effect on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Valid until March 30, 2025, it will feature 80 destinations in 29 countries, primarily in Europe and the Mediterranean region, via direct flights offered by a total of 24 airlines.
A look back on 2024 - passenger numbers are almost back to pre-crisis levels
Throughout the year 2024, the Airport welcomed around 8.9 million passengers, an increase of 10.2% compared to the previous year. Passenger numbers reached 98% of the 2019 total. Cargo volumes are returning to pre-crisis levels as well. The Strategic Business Area Industry once again proved robust in 2023.

The 20th edition of the EuroAirport Aviation Collectors’ Fair will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025 on the 5th floor, in the South Terminal of the airport building (on the Swiss side). The collectors’ tables will be organised around the “Luminator”, Jean Tinguely’s last work of art.
