Job position

As Head of Industry and Real Estate Development, you will be responsible for the Airport’s customer management in the Strategic Business Area Industry, real estate development and its strategic repositioning.

Your main task is to systematically develop new sources of revenue from existing customers and attract new industrial partners who may benefit from the range of services, spaces and premises offered by EuroAirport. The goal is the strategic development and promotion of the sustainable development of the Airport’s industrial portfolio.

As part of your responsibilities, you will support existing customers and partners of the Airport and help expand the customer portfolio, particularly in the areas of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and FBO (Fixed-Base Operator) and with other aviation industry partners. You will proactively develop new commercial utilisation concepts while combining entrepreneurial spirit with operational implementation and contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the Airport’s industrial portfolio.

In this role, you will directly report to EuroAirport’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The position is permanent and must be filled as soon as possible.

Primary job duties

Strategic development and real estate management

  • Create and further develop utilisation concepts for new or existing premises and spaces;
  • Create business cases and provide scenario analysis and investment evaluation;
  • Careful monitoring of the market, industry trends as well as technical or logistical developments;
  • Prepare and present monthly reports to the Head of Department;
  • Budget management and control concerning real estate projects and the real estate business.

Commercial development and customer management

  • Proactive support of business clients: provide customer support, ensure customer loyalty, problem solving;
  • Customer acquisition;
  • Maintain contact with existing customers and potential new customers;
  • Develop and manage customer loyalty campaigns;
  • Analyse customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improvement or business opportunities.

Institutional relations and external representation

  • Represent the Airport at trade fairs, career fairs and industry events;
  • Participate in the co-organisation of events for customers and representatives of institutions;
  • Establish and maintain relations and contacts with partners from institutions and organisations;
  • Participate actively in promoting the brand “EuroAirport®” and its strategic positioning.

Internal collaboration and cross-departmental projects

  • Participate in cross-departmental projects involving several airport departments;
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical divisions, commercial teams, Marketing, Finance etc.) to ensure overall consistency of actions.

Desired profile

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Real Estate, Finance, Corporate Strategy or comparable education.
  • At least three to five years of relevant professional experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, real estate development or investment-related roles;
  • Proven experience in business negotiations, contract structures and partnership models;
  • Understanding of value chains in industrial, infrastructure- or ideally aviation-related business sectors;
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with strategic vision and an operational approach;
  • Ability to structure complex issues, develop profitability analyses as well as investment scenarios and calculations;
  • Ability to make informed decisions and take the lead in project management and coordination with stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German, French and English (minimum level B2/C1 in each language).
