In 2011, air traffic continued to grow consolidating the trend begun in 2010. For the second year in succession, Basel-Mulhouse Airport posted extremely good results.

The year 2012 proved to be another successful year for EuroAirport. Passenger traffic rose by 6%, compared with an average increase of just 3% as reported by IATA for other European airports.

The year 2013 was once again marked by numerous successes for EuroAirport. Passenger volumes increased by 10% to 5.9 million while the European average was an increase of just 4.7%.

The aviation industry can look back on another year of growth. Around the world, 2014 was its most profitable year ever in terms of profit. It was also a record year for Basel-Mulhouse Airport: 6.5 million passengers used the airport in 2014, corresponding to growth of 11% and putting the airport significantly above the European average.

Basel-Mulhouse Airport is a key driver of the economy in the whole of our trinational region. The extremely successful past year is therefore not only good news for our customers, partners and employees but has also positive effects on our economic and social environment.

In 2016, for the seventh consecutive year, EuroAirport posted a new growth record in passenger volume. Freight operations remained stable overall.

It is not only millions of people who pass through EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. Thousands of tonnes of goods from around the world also arrive and are re-exported.

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg ensures the accessibility of the trinational region for both passengers and freight. It is a unique model of international cooperation serving the Upper Rhine region.
