Winter timetable 2012/2013 from EuroAirport

-    Five new destinations
-    New long-haul flights to Cancun
-    Around 500 departures per week to 60 different airports with 20 airlines   

With the introduction of the 2012-13 winter flight timetable (valid from 28 October 2012 to 30 March 2013), EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is increasing its flight offering to include five new destinations, reinforcing in particular the connections to Eastern Europe.

-    Belgrade (3 flights/week) with Wizzair,
-    Cancun (1 flight/week) with Arkefly,
-    London City (12 flights/week) with Swiss International Air Lines,
-     Santiago de Compostela (2 flights/week) with easyJet, 
-    Skopje (3 flights/week) with Wizzair.

In addition, the airline easyJet will be serving four new destinations this winter from EuroAirport - Brussels, the popular capital of the European Union (6x weekly), Budapest (4x weekly), Manchester
(4x weekly) and Toulouse (3x weekly).
As for holiday flights, EuroAirport will be maintaining its extensive choice of weekly departures to destinations in Northern Africa – Egypt (Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh), Morocco (Agadir, Marrakech) and Tunisia (Enfidha) – as well as to Southern Europe and the Mediterranean Basin, for example Cape Verde, Spain and Turkey.
In addition to Punta Cana, there will be long-haul flights with Arkefly to Cancun in Mexico.

In summary, this winter at EuroAirport, 20 airlines will be offering around 500 regular service departures per week to 60 different airports.

At the end of September 2012, 4.08 million passengers had used EuroAirport. The number of movements (take-offs and landings) rose by 1% in comparison to the same period in 2011.
For 2012, the Airport Authority is expecting growth of 5% reaching passenger figures of 5.3 million.
