On 31 October 2017, two days after the start of the winter flight schedule, EuroAirport welcomed the first flight with easyJet to Stockholm today organising a ribbon-cutting event at the gate and celebrations for the first passengers on the flight.

Using a modern A320 aircraft with a new livery (186 seats), easyJet will be flying to the Swedish capital three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Stockholm is the cultural, political and economic centre of Sweden. Known as the Venice of the North, the city stretches across fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago and is made up of 30% waterways and 30% green spaces. Ideal for city breaks, Stockholm offers numerous sightseeing possibilities with its islands, bridges, shops, cafés, parks and museums. It is also home to the palace of the Swedish monarch and the Drottningholm Palace, situated on the outskirts of Stockholm serves as the Royal Family’s private residence and is classed as a World Heritage site.

The introduction of this new route by easyJet enhances EuroAirport's flight offering to Northern Europe.  In addition, Stockholm reinforces the presence of easyJet at EuroAirport bringing the total number of destinations to 57.
