Successful inaugural flight by Wizz Air - departures from EuroAirport to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia

Following its first flight today, 30 October 2012, the airline Wizz Air will be flying from EuroAirport to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia up to three times a week. The first flight operated by this new airline at EuroAirport was fittingly celebrated by a baptism of water carried out by the airport fire service shortly after touchdown at the airport.

This winter, Wizz Air will be flying from EuroAirport to the capital of Macedonia every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with an Airbus 320 (180 seats). The flight takes a little more than 2 hours.

EuroAirport’s management is delighted about the arrival of the new airline and the new destination which increases the offer of flights available from EuroAirport to Southeast Europe for families, tourists and business travellers alike.

In addition, Wizz Air will be launching a second new flight (3 times a week) to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, starting on 15 December 2012.

With the two new routes – Skopje and Belgrade - Wizz Air expects to carry up to 90,000 yearly passengers. Wizz Air operates a fleet of 39 new Airbus A320 aircraft and offers excellent customer service at very low fares.

Flights to Skopje start from just 17.99 euro for a single flight (including mandatory taxes and booking fee) and can be booked on www.wizzair.com.
