Successful inaugural flight by Aegean Airlines - departures from EuroAirport to Athens
Following its first flight on Monday 26 March 2018, Aegean Airlines, a brand new airline at EuroAirport, will be flying from EuroAirport to Athens, the capital and largest city of Greece twice a week.
The first flight operated by this new airline at EuroAirport was fittingly celebrated by a baptism of water carried out by the airport fire service shortly after touchdown at the airport.
This summer, Aegean Airlines will be flying from EuroAirport to the capital of Greece every Monday and Friday with an Airbus 320 (180 seats). The flight takes less than three hours.
EuroAirport is delighted about the arrival of the new airline and the destination Athens which increases the offer of flights available from EuroAirport to Southeast Europe for families, tourists and business travellers alike.
Since its creation in 1999, Aegean Airlines offers an all-inclusive quality service to its passengers. 2018 the airline is operating flights to 153 destinations in 44 countries. Following its acquisition of Olympic Air in October 2013, Aegean serves a total of 31 destinations within Greece and beyond offering optimal connections, in particular to Central Europe and the Middle-East. In 2017, the company transported
13.2 million passengers in total including 7.3 million via its international network.
