Serving passengers: COVID screening centre at EuroAirport

This week, EuroAirport set up a COVID screening centre for passengers, accompanying persons and airport staff with the participation of a local laboratory. The screening centre offers both rapid antigenic tests and PCR tests, which the regulations of many countries require travellers to undergo before they travel.

In a growing number of countries, current health regulations implementing measures designed to contain the pandemic require passengers to undergo a COVID test and present negative results before boarding flights to their country. To facilitate air travel for its passengers, EuroAirport therefore set up a test centre on the French side of the departure hall (level 3, hall 1) on 15 February 2021. The centre is open Monday to Saturday from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The EuroAirport test centre offers rapid antigenic tests, with results available within 15 minutes. Travellers and accompanying persons can also undergo an RT-PCR test. If this test is performed before 11.15 am, the results are sent by e-mail (in French or English) before midnight on the same day.
For holders of a carte vitale, the cost of the test is covered by the French national health insurance. For other persons, an antigenic test costs € 40 (CHF 45) and a PCR test costs € 100 (CHF 110).

The EuroAirport screening centre is designed to serve departing and arriving passengers, accompanying persons and airport staff. It is initially planned to operate for four months; this period may be extended as the situation evolves.

In any event, the Airport strongly advises passengers to check with their airline or the authorities of the country of destination well in advance to find out what type of test is required and within what time frame.

Travellers are also strongly advised to pre-book their test via the following address: https://www.linscription.com/pro/identification.php?P1=62695.
