New winter timetable starting 30 October 2016: more than 500 scheduled weekly flights to 76 destinations with 20 airlines

With the upcoming winter time change, the new winter flight programme valid from 30 October 2016 to 25 March 2017 comes into effect at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg and presents a number of new features.

New this winter: Boa Vista and Sal (Cape Verde islands) with TUIfly (both once weekly), Funchal (Madeira) with easyJet (once weekly) and TUIfly (once weekly) as well as Pisa (Tuscany) with easyJet (three times weekly). Wizzair will be flying to Sofia (capital of Bulgaria, twice weekly) for the first time.

Other new features this winter:

Vueling will continue to fly to Barcelona (five times weekly) offering ideal connections to Spain, Portugal and North Africa. A subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, Eurowings will be increasing seat capacity on flights to its Düsseldorf hub with the more modern Airbus A319/320 (up to 156 seats) instead of the previous Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft (83 seats).

A wide selection of sunny holiday destinations will be offered again this winter with weekly flights to Egypt (Hurghada), Spain (Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife), Sicily (Catania) and Turkey (Antalya, Izmir).

In summary, 20 airlines will be offering more than 500 direct scheduled weekly flights to 76 airports this winter from EuroAirport.

Preview of summer 2017: Eurowings will be flying to Palma de Mallorca (four times weekly from July 2017) and Skywork Airlines will be servicing Jersey and Sylt (both destinations once weekly from June 2017).
