New catering services: Elior and EuroAirport launch the 3 LÄNDER restaurant and FOOD COURT

Monday, 8 June 2015, Jürg Rämi, Director EuroAirport, and Bertrand Lozé, CEO of Elior Concessions, opened the airport's new catering areas on the 5th floor of the airport building – the 3 LÄNDER restaurant, which brings together three Michelin-starred chefs, and the FOOD COURT with the Courtepaille and Francesca brands.

The opening marks the end of the new catering concept programme, begun on 1st October 2013. The airport terminal building now offers 13 completely refurbished catering outlets.

EuroAirport's management, who following a tender decided to work with travel catering specialist Elior, is delighted with the new offering, which is perfectly in line with the requirements of customers, passengers and lovers of good food. The 3 LÄNDER restaurant serves regional dishes with gourmet flair, served in a modern, elegant setting, while the FOOD COURT offers a varied selection of reasonably priced dishes.

•    The 3 LÄNDER restaurant symbolizes EuroAirport's unique geographical location, at the crossroads of three countries – France, Switzerland and Germany. Its cuisine is composed of the creations of three Michelin-starred chefs, one from each of the three countries – Hubert Maetz (Restaurant le Rosenmeer, Rosheim - France), Jörg Slaschek (Restaurant Attisholz, Riedholz - Switzerland) and Otto and Daniel Fehrenbacher (Restaurant Adler, Lahr - Germany). The collaboration is based on the personal friendship of the three chefs, enabling the restaurant to offer a wide selection of taste sensations and a menu that revisits the specialities of their countries. The 3 LÄNDER restaurant aims to become one the leading culinary lights in the region.

•    The FOOD COURT, on the French and Swiss side, combines two well-known high street restaurant brands, Courtepaille and Francesca. This new brand association makes its debut at the airport, offering visitors a wide variety of dishes, which can be combined to suit individual tastes, in a cosy contemporary setting:

-    Courtepaille Comptoir, offers a wide selection of best sellers, from freshly grilled food, a range of hamburgers and an assortment of starters and deserts for which the brand is famous

-    Francesca, with pasta, hot dishes, salads and Italian-style desserts

Elior engaged Chapman Taylor for the concept, makeover and interior design of the new catering areas to create a comfortable, inviting setting. It focussed on tailored concepts inspired by the region, its traditional materials, customs and flavours.
