New: Wizz Air's first flight to Bucharest from EuroAirport

Bucharest is the second connection between EuroAirport and Romania, following on from Cluj

Starting yesterday, 26 October 2014, Wizz Air is now flying from EuroAirport to the Romanian capital Bucharest twice a week. Bucharest is the second connection between the three-country area and Romania. It is also Wizz Air's fifth destination from EuroAirport.

The airline will be flying to Bucharest on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The launch of this new route enhances Wizz Air's flight destinations to Southern Europe and Romania, offering an important connection for families, tourists and business travellers. With around 1.9 million inhabitants, Bucharest is also the sixth largest city in the European Union.

Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe. It started flights from EuroAirport in October 2012.

The airline initially introduced three weekly flights to the Macedonian capital Skopje. Today, it flies to Skopje five times a week. It launched its second destination from EuroAirport in December 2012, with twice weekly flights to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The service was extended in June 2013 with two flights per week to Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The airline has also been flying to Cluj in Romania twice a week since July 2014.

Wizz Air operates a fleet of 54 new Airbus A320 aircraft (each with 180 seats) and offers excellent customer service at low prices.
