From 1 September 2015: implementation of new security measures

Improved search for and detection of explosives

Starting from today, 1 September 2015, EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg has implemented new security measures for screening passengers and their cabin luggage in compliance with EU regulations.

The use of complementary equipment installed to detect traces of explosives improves airport security.

Taken as a whole, security checks remain the same. The new measures will not impact travel comfort for passengers and should not influence waiting times at security checks.

However, as always, it is particularly advisable that passengers proceed to the security check points as soon as possible after check-in in order to access the departure gates in good time and avoid any stress.
