EuroAirport staff supported 2014 Telethon raising funds of 7838 euro

On Friday, 5 December 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., around twenty volunteers and 110 willing employees from the management of EuroAirport took part in the 28th edition of the French Telethon.

The venture was aimed at supporting a charity by organising a collective event to raise donations for research projects on genetic neuromuscular and rare genetic diseases.

The EuroAirport management staff joined forces to put their muscles at the service of the French Muscular Dystrophy Association (AFM).

A third of EuroAirport's management staff had thus signed up to complete the approximately 160 metre sports circuit within the perimeter outside the Hellhof in front of the airport on the French side. The circuit consisted of six stages including walking activities, basket ball and petanque.

The registration fee of 2 euro per person was topped by EuroAirport management on the basis of the points scored per activity to a maximum of 60 euro per person. These donations were handed over to the coordinator of the AFM Telethon for the Upper Rhine region today, Monday 8 December 2014 in the form of a giant cheque for the total sum of 7838 euro.
